Types of business departments


There are several departments in the business organizations which facilitate good flow of business activities in the organizations.These departments in the business organizations includes:

Finance departments
Finance departments is responsible for recording all the cash inflow and outflow at the business.The finance departments is divided into purchase sections,sales section and accounting sections.The purchase sections is responsible for purchasing goods/services in the business,the sale sections is responsible for selling goods/services to the customers while the accounting section is responsible for calculating cash flow statements such as calculating the cash flow accounts,balance sheets and also calculating profits and loss accounts.

Customer care departments
Customer care departments is responsible for assisting customers to access services from the business by answering queries raised by customers.Customer care department has front office/receptionist sections which is responsible for directing customers to the concern department in the business.When customers come to the business to get assistance,the receptionists department will  direct the customers to the respective departments where they/customers can get assistance.

Human resource departments
Human resource departments responsible for dealing with all matters related to the employees in the organizations such as recruiting of the employees, giving leave to the employees.The human resource is simply responsible for all the welfare of the employees in the business organizations.

Safety departments
Safety departments responsible for ensuring that the employees/staffs work in safe and secure environment.They ensure that the employees wear safety attires while they are at work,these department  is responsible for ensuring  that the business environment is clean and tidy i.e these department is responsible for ensuring that the department that  there is general cleanliness in the business premises.The safety departments should also ensure that all the equipments are kept nicely and tidily at  the store before and after using them.

Advertising departments
Advertising departments responsible for advertising and promoting the business products and services such as informing customers  about new products/services which are available in the business.The advertising department is also responsible for informing customers about changes in prices for particular products/services which the business is selling.

Cooking departments
Cooking departments is responsible for preparing breakfast and lunch for the staffs/employees in the business organizations.

Communication departments
Communication departments is responsible for ensuring that all the communication facilities in the business work  effectively and appropriately without causing any barriers when  the business is communicating with the customers or when the business is communicating with other stakeholders such as business associates  and other concerned parties.Communication equipments includes the telephone landlines and faxes services, post office services such as business post office address  box numbers which the business can send parcels to the customers or the business can receive parcels from the customers.Communication facilities also includes the internet services such as internet connected computers and mobile phones.By having good internet services in the business then the business can communicate with customers at ease,in these case the business can communicate with the customers through emails,through the company website’s or through social media such as google plus,twitter,facebook and other social media sites. To ensure effective communication in the business then the business should ensure that there are sufficient expert employees who are skilled enough to repair any communication equipments which has broken down.The business can also ensure that there is good communication in the business by ensuring that all the communication services are paid on time.In these case,the business should ensure that the telephone bills and internet connection bills are paid on time,the  business should also ensure that the post office fees is also paid on time.

Transport departments
Transport departments is  responsible for transportation's of goods/services to the business and also for transportation of goods/services to where customers are located once the customers have purchased goods/services from the business.Transport department is also responsible for carrying employees to the business and back to where employees live/stay.

Point to note in every departments in the business
Every department in the business should have their own proper ways of keeping their records for all business activities which occurs in their respective departments.
